Tips for Living in On-Campus Housing

Apply before you arrive. Apply Online!
Read the housing contract when you arrive (The contract is through May, and you are bound by this contract unless you end your studies.)
Bring bedroom linens (blankets, sheets, pillows) and bathroom linens (towels)

Off-Campus Housing (Costs Vary)

Mississippi State is located in the town of Starkville, Mississippi, population 18,000. There are many apartment buildings in Starkville. Prices vary according to the proximity to the campus, room quality, and the size of the apartments. Rents range from about $275 to over $475 per month. Students who wish to rent an apartment should come to Starkville 2-3 weeks before classes begin in order to find a suitable apartment.
